~St. Valentine's Day~

Dear Sir/Madam,

      I am writing to express my opinion on how people can show their love to someone special besides sending gifts.

     Although sending flowers is a custom on St. Valentine’s Day, don’t you think it is too common and not very special?

     The best gift to someone special doesn’t really cost too much. Let’s imagine how happy you will be when you receive a valentine's card, which is drawn by your lover. It is because he/she did spend a lot of time on it and it is the only card in the world! Moreover, you may knit a scarf to make him/her feel warm, or fill a bottle with lucky stars you made yourself with words written on it. These things are filled with love and are very meaningful, aren’t they?

     If you think these are still not good enough, here are some ideas for you to show your love in special ways. For instance, it is very thoughtful for you to prepare some delicious cuisines and arrange some programmes such as going to the beach. Besides, you can also write a love-letter or poem or even write a love-song and sing it so as to declare your love. You can do housework for him/her, and then he/she will be very surprised. Making sweet heart-shaped chocolate can show your love, too.

      Anyway, I hope you can enjoy an extraordinary and unforgettable Valentine’s Day!
